Professional membership of the IAB can enhance your career in accounting, payroll or financial administration.

The grade of membership awarded is dependent on the level of examination attained. Additionally, two years appropriate work experience is required for those aspiring to Fellow status. For full details see ‘Routes to Membership'. Members may demonstrate their status by using the designatory letters AIAB (Associate of the International Association of Book-Keepers), MIAB (Member) or FIAB (Fellow) as appropriate. Fellow members may, in addition style themselves as a ‘Registered Book-Keeper'.

The Association has been granted supervisory status and is therefore able to ensure members comply with the Money Laundering Regulations 2007. It is therefore essential that all professional members offering payroll, book-keeping or related services to the public register immediately. Please note there is no de minimis level. A registration application pack and details of preferential rates for Professional Indemnity Insurance may be obtained from the Membership Department at IAB.

Professional recognition and support and supervision compliant with the Money Laundering Regulations 2007 together with preferential rates for many essential items required by the modern practitioner are just some examples of the many benefits available to members of the Association.

For Full details see Routes to membership.
