Qualifications

In today's world, the financial sector has ups and downs, so qualifications are absolutely necessary to promote trust and confidence in a volatile market-place.

The IAB is unique in that it is both a professional body for bookkeepers and it is an awarding body recognised and regulated by the relevant government authorities in England (Ofqual), Wales (Welsh Government) and Northern Ireland (CCEA). Most of the IAB qualifications are accredited by these authorities, therefore candidates in these countries have that additional assurance of quality that accreditation brings. Additionally, courses and examinations leading to IAB qualifications take place in many countries outside of the United Kingdom and where relevant are subject to local regulation.

Whichever qualification you choose, whether it’s a bookkeeping qualification or a payroll qualification, they have been developed not simply by education professionals but with the involvement of professional members of the IAB, employers and other relevant organisations. The qualifications then are designed to equip candidates with the necessary knowledge and skills for a particular occupational role.
