Whilst travelling overseas, IAB Chief Executive, Malcolm Trotter was rocked back on his heels when he saw this sign.
It was displayed at the Hotel Reception of a major international chain.
If those overseas already think a Scottish Pound is worth less than a British Pound, would not a ‘Yes’ Vote on 18 September lead to an immediate (and lasting?) increase in import costs and for Scots travelling overseas on holiday or for business?
Thinking about this a bit more and hypothetically, if Scottish Independence was an investment decision that you were facing in your business, would you consider the risk of the Scottish economy being damaged by full Independence to be too high to vote ‘Yes’?
