Changes to the Government Gateway are set to take place over the weekend 17–18 November, with normal service to be resumed on 19 November 2018. This will mean some Agent Services will not be accessible during this period.
HMRC originally planned for the changes to take place over the first weekend of November. A spokesman said: “It has been necessary to move back the update weekend so that we can minimise disruption to users as a result of the changes we need to make and to be absolutely sure that services will not be ‘read only’ for more than two days. Had we pressed ahead with the weekend of 3/11 and 4/11 there was a risk that this would not have been the case, and so postponing the changes is in the best interests of our users.”
