Testimonials

  • I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you for all your help and advice when I recently joined the International Association of Bookkeepers.   I was kept fully informed of all stages of my application and on the acceptance of my membership I was sent a certificate of membership along with a great leather folder of information. I have also needed the assistance of the compliance team when trying to move my supervision for money laundering to the IAB after ...

  • Becoming a member of IAB and now IAAP are two of the best investments I feel I could have become a part of. They represent International bodies that especially in this technological and digital age serve to keep you in the arena of being successful. In almost every fibre of business is bookkeeping and accounting and to be able to not only have the resources and benefits; you can proudly and confidently walk beside other professionals wearing your designated letters behind yo ...

  • Studying on a distance learning course is a really flexible way of tailoring your studies around your work and home life. For this reason distance learning really appealed to me. I have a busy life and trying to commit to a set day or evening every week was difficult for me. I was able to study when and where I wanted and also being able to control how quickly I could complete the course was so helpful. I was always confident I was on top of my studies; if I was busy one week ...

  • The IAB course has given me a passion for bookkeeping and now I have an internationally recognised qualification to help me build my career. The course motivated me to learn more about how businesses work and has made me realise how in-demand bookkeeping is – I know my skills will always be needed. With distance learning you can work at your own pace around your commitments. This was great for me plus, I get the one-to-one support I need from professional tutors.

Classroom based

What is classroom based study?

Classroom Based learning, is a form of teaching which takes place in a classroom environment.

It usually consists of going into a centre once a week at a set time for a set duration.

Some IAB centres run intensive week or two week courses where you may go into the centre every day, while other centres may run weekly lessons which will run for a couple of months.

What are the fees for classroom based study?

The fees for our qualifications can be found here. These fees are normally included in the fee you pay your training provider.

What questions should I ask about classroom based study?

You should ask the following questions:

- Is the IAB registration fee included in the fee I pay you (the training provider)?

- What is included in the fee, e.g study text books etc?

- How long is the course?

- Do you have any entry requirements? (While the IAB doesn’t have any entry requirements for its qualifications other than a good understanding of the English language, some centres do, especially if you are going straight into a higher level eg. Level 3)

Where can I find a training provider for classroom based study?
