Climbing the career ladder in Bookkeeping and Accounting
A careers evening has been arranged with TDLC, who are an IAB accredited training provider. The careers evening will provide you with support on CV writing, interview techniques and how to climb the career ladder in the bookkeeping and accountancy sectors.
The event is free to attend and is taking place on Monday 27th November between 5pm and 7:15pm at the Riverside Community Centre, Dickens Road, Gravesend, Kent, DA12 2JY.
The guest speaker of the evening will be from Butler Rose, which is a specialist, private equity backed accountancy and finance recruiter, placing hundreds of finance professionals from Bookkeepers and Accounts Clerks through to Partners and FDs across the UK each year.
Butler Rose is a Corporate Partner to the IAB, offering complimentary careers advice and recruitment services to its members.
Simon Wicks, who is Butler Rose’s founder and CEO, will be speaking at the event. Simon has worked in the accountancy and finance recruitment market for 20 years. He will be presenting on how to climb the career ladder in bookkeeping/accountancy – including advice on how to write a strong CV and interview techniques, as well as some inside tips on how to get the best out of a recruitment consultancy. He and his team will also be on hand during the evening for one-on-one advice.
There will also be a presentation from the IAB providing an overview of its bookkeeping and payroll qualifications as well as the support they can provide if you become a professional member. This session will also cover guidance on being a self-employed bookkeeper and what you need to have in place to ensure you are compliant with the Money Laundering Regulations.
