Update on entrepreneurs’ relief
The talk will provide an opportunity for delegates to refresh their knowledge of the entrepreneurs’ relief (ER) rules which impact small businesses and their exit strategies. The main part of the presentation will cover material disposals of shares so will be of particular interest to clients operating via corporate structures. This will include the new rules on joint ventures. The talk will include reference to the latest HMRC guidance and relevant tax case law.
About the speaker
Martin Mann heads the owner-managed business team at Gabelle, a division of the Abbey Tax Group. He is both a member of the Association of Tax Technicians and the Chartered Institute of Taxation with over 35 years of experience in tax. His past roles have seen him advise on both business/corporate as well as personal tax issues and as a consequence Martin has developed a broad range of tax expertise. His particular areas of expertise are Corporate reconstructions, employment taxes and capital gains tax in particular entrepreneurs’ relief planning and principal private residence. Coffee/ Tea and Biscuits will served at 5:30pm to 6:00pm when you will be able to network.
This will be followed by an Annual Xmas Dinner in the Restaurant.

Monies will have to be paid to CPM Accountancy by Friday 30th November 2018, with Menu Choices by cheque or transfer to his Business Bank Account.
