Alison Edward MIAB, owner of Hampshire based Simply Balanced solutions Ltd, has been chosen as a finalist in the Heropreneurs Awards for the Military Partner in Business category.
This award recognises the unique challenges faced by the partners of service personnel to adapt to the postings, relocations, and deployments of their loved ones, and the difficulty in running a new business or organisation in the face of such disruption and uncertainty.
The Heropreneurs Awards is a new initiative created to celebrate the achievements of ex-Armed Forces personnel in business. It is run by Heropreneurs, the charity that helps ex-Armed Forces personnel and their dependants on the road to creating their own businesses and become entrepreneurs.
The Awards are run in association with The Telegraph and the Warwick Business School, and with support from the Ministry of Defence.
With nearly 200 entries across just eight categories being named as a finalist by Judges such as Paddy Ashdown, Deborah Meaden (from Dragons’ Den) and a host of other successful entrepreneurs and high-ranking military personnel, says a lot about the success and drive of the shortlisted nominees.
Congratulations to Alison and good luck for the awards ceremony on 14th November, which is when the winners will be announced.
