It has been well publicised that Ofqual’s Qualifications Credit Framework QCF has now ended (Sept 2015) with last registrations in December 2017. The Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) has been up and running since 2015 and our replacement RQF qualifications are now quite well established with positive feedback.
We would like to give learners on the legacy QCF qualifications as much time as possible to complete their studies and finalise their assessments. On that basis we have set the final date for undertaking all QCF assessments to 31 August 2018. This will allow us sufficient time to deal with marking / moderation and certification before the final certificate issue end date.
Learners must undertake all assessments, including resits by 31 August 2018 in order to achieve their qualification. Centres will need to factor in the possibility of one resit prior to 31 August 2018. In the event that a learner undertook an assessment on 31st August and failed, it would not be possible to undertake an additional assessment in order to achieve the qualification. Learners would need to transfer to an alternative qualification with resulting cost implications.
Final assessment results sheets must be received by the IAB on or before Friday 14th September 2018.
