Who is this qualification for?
The Level 3 Diploma in Computerised Bookkeeping qualification has been designed to appeal to learners:
- who are already in employment with a sound knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and a working knowledge of the use of computerised accounting systems who want to formalise their knowledge and skills by gaining a recognised accredited computerised accounting qualification
- who are self-employed practitioners with a sound knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and a working knowledge of the use of computerised accounting systems who wish to formalise their knowledge and skills by gaining a recognised accredited computerised accounting qualification
- and who are owners of small businesses with a sound knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and a working knowledge of the use of computerised accounting systems who wish to formalise their knowledge and skills by gaining a recognised accredited computerised accounting qualification
What you’ll study
- The qualification aims to give the learner the skills required to carry out a range of day-to-day computerised accounting routines and activities using Sage accounting software – including entry of complex business transactions and routine bookkeeping tasks, including the posting of transactions to ledger accounts, the preparation and use of journal entries, calculating and applying period end adjustments, the preparation of period-end financial statements, and amendments to a chart of accounts.
How much will it cost?
Learners studying or wanting to study through a training provider (classroom-based or distance learning) should contact potential training providers to get an idea of the total cost for the qualification. The majority of the training providers will include the IAB registration fees into their fees.
This fee covers the following:
- Registration onto the qualification
- All relevant assessment fees (excluding re-sits)
- Certification upon successful completion of all assessments
This qualification requires the use of Sage Business Cloud software. Access will be provided to all learners once registered for the qualification.
How is it assessed?
Learners will be required to complete the Sage Computerised Bookkeeping assessments applicable to this qualification. Learners will receive access to the Sage assessment platform to partake in the required assessments.
