My biggest regret is I lost my teenage years – The George Batts MBE Interview
In this interview, I speak to the D-Day Veteran George Batts MBE for a second time as we get closer to our cycle trip to raise money for the Normandy Memorial Trust and to build an education and information centre.
George speaks candidly about his experience all those years ago aged 18 and crossing over to Normandy to fight in World War 2 and how it affected him and his friends.
George's tells us that his biggest regret was that he lost his teenage years from age 18 to 23. Whilst young people at that age are out having fun and creating memories, George and his friends were preparing and then fighting for the country.
