Record Keeping for Mobile Devices
The HMRC website contains a list of software suppliers who have produced simple record keeping applications. Some of the apps meet cash basis and simplified expenses specifications following on from consultation with HMRC. Most of the apps are free to download and can be used on a range of mobile devices. Business Advice Emails
You can sign up for a free service offered by HMRC which provides you with a series of tax related support emails to give you and your business useful guidance at specific points. For instance, they are able to provide assistance about the type of financial records you need to keep and when certain payments to HMRC are due.
If you are already signed up for HMRC’s online services, you can access this service from ‘Your HMRC Services’ page once you have logged in using your User ID and Password.

HMRC Talking Points and Working Together sessions
HMRC now have a page on Gov.uk showing the forthcoming Talking Points sessions as well as links to listen to recordings. Talking Points are interactive online sessions which provide agents with opportunities to hear from and ask questions of subject matter experts from HMRC on a range of subjects including Security Awareness for agents, Your Tax Account, Inheritance Tax and more.
HMRC have added Talking Points to the existing page for other digital offerings for agents.
The Talking Points will be updated every month, and alongside this HMRC will continue to send email invites and blog about future sessions.
