Testimonials

  • I would like to take this opportunity of thanking you for all your help and advice when I recently joined the International Association of Bookkeepers.   I was kept fully informed of all stages of my application and on the acceptance of my membership I was sent a certificate of membership along with a great leather folder of information. I have also needed the assistance of the compliance team when trying to move my supervision for money laundering to the IAB after ...

  • As a member of "IAB", I find the services provided by this organisation excellent.  It helps me to achieve my work goals and keep up to date with current financial information. I really enjoyed the newsletter that I read at my own pace.  I find all the IAB staff extremely supportive.  The CPD structure is so flexible that it fits in with my other commitment. I would definitely recommend membership to anyone. What a fantastic organisation!

  • I would highly recommend distance learning as a great way to study. You need to be self-motivated but that’s great for me and it gives me the flexibility to fit studying around everything else. I can truly study at my own pace and spend more time on the areas that I find more challenging, rather than having to go at the speed of the tutor. Groves Training Services is a really committed provider which offers an excellent all round service. They have experienced, understa ...

  • Distance learning was the perfect solution for me as i was able to fit it in around my full time job and enabled me to work from home when it suited me. The course was easy to follow and well structured and my training provider,Groves Training Limited, offered excellent support and feedback throughout the ...

2012-2016 QCF Fees

IAB study fees 2013-2016

Before studying IAB qualifications, let us take the guesswork out of your study fees and other costs - to help you budget ahead. Plus, find a host of key dates and helpful information below helping you stay on top of your studies.

Stand-Alone Qualifications (not including materials)

Centres must register all students within 4 weeks of the published course start date, or commencement of the course. This will allow registered learners to become student members of the IAB. Student members of the IAB have access to the restricted area of the IAB website, which includes online testing, past papers and various other student benefits.

Once registered for a qualification the IAB will allow 28 days from the start date (as defined above) for the centre/student to withdraw from the course whereby a 50% refund of the registration fee will be arranged providing that this date does not go beyond the official closing date for the examination.* Once the 28 day period has passed no refund will be permitted.

Packaged Qualifications (Including Materials)

Centres must register all students immediately to facilitate delivery of the materials included in the package.

Students withdrawing from Computerised Accounting for Business or Computerised Payroll for Business qualifications within 28 days of registration will be entitled to a 30% refund of the registration fee.*

Please check with the education team if you need clarification

*does not apply to accelerated or short duration courses.

Need to do a re-sit?

Have you failed a single unit in an exam? Worry not, you can retake. Providing the exam contains three or more units, you simply re-sit the failed unit as an assignment under open book conditions.

Here’s what happens:

  • Request the paper from your training provider; your tutor will mark it for you
  • The marked assignment is returned to be moderated by the IAB
  • If you pass, you’ll be awarded the full qualification

The fee for a re-sit assignment is £15 per assignment.
The fee for re-sitting a project is £30

Students who fail two units in an examination containing three or more units will be expected to re-sit the complete exam paper. The fee for the re-sit is £30 per exam plus external examination fee if necessary.

Cancellation of Exam

When a student/centre is unable to sit an exam without a valid reason and the papers have been dispatched to the centre the IAB reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of £50 per student

Transfer Fee

When a student/centre wishes to re-arrange an exam for a previously registered exam sitting the IAB reserves the right to charge a transfer fee of £30 per student

Duplicate Certificate Fee

If you need a duplicate certificate, it costs £15 per document.

Qualification transfer fee

If you have passed all units in a lower qualification, you can apply for the lower qualification certificate at £30 per qualification.

Should you have any questions or need help with any aspect of fees or funding, just get in touch.
