If you’re confident and have experience of running network meetings or keen to learn and would like to become part of this new initiative, we’d love to hear from you.
You’ll be supported by us at the IAB and provide feedback and findings from each meeting helping us support you and your group plus the wider members.
We’ve already set up groups across the whole of the UK to help support IAB members and we’d love you to be part of this.

Being part of a group will help gain even more support and build a close network with other bookkeepers.
Ambassador Groups have a maximum of 6 people, including the Ambassador and each meeting will be 1 hour long via Zoom.
It’s your chance to gain valuable support from your fellow members where together you can grow your practices.
By being part of a group, you will have the opportunity to voice your views and help shape the future of the IAB.

I run a small bookkeeping and payroll practice and have over 30 years experience working in practice and industry. One main thing that I have learned over the years is its good to help others and not be afraid to ask for help from other bookkeepers and accountants. Being an Ambassador for the IAB enables me to do this. The members in my group are friendly and approachable and we always have fun on our meetings and of course we have the support of the IAB which is great.

I feel being an ambassador is a great opportunity and privilege. It enables me to support, mentor and assist likeminded people it has also widened my experiences and I feel able to go to your group when you have an issue with either a client or HMRC and gain the experience and viewpoint of others is invaluable. Being an IAB ambassador has allowed me to connect with Bookkeepers and Accountants that are extremely passionate about making a difference and discovering what we can do to make it better! I love being part of the accounting industry and a member of the IAB and it’s great being part of the IAB ambassador group. You become an important link between the IAB leadership team and the group members and IAB has been very supportive of my professional development. By being an IAB ambassador, I feel that I’m giving support to others members as well as receiving it.

I am Helen of Digital Blue Accounting, based on the West Sussex/Surrey border. I have been trading since 2010, and prior to that was employed for 10 years in a variety of accounting / finance roles.
I work on Xero, Quickbooks and Sage Business Cloud, with clients including a pub, a monastery, a roofer and a transportation company! I take pride in my dynamic, colourful and puzzle-solving outlook! I love to streamline procedures to make the accounting function run smoothly with as little human intervention as possible.
I am married to David, have 3 daughters, a stepson and a stepcat, play saxophone, and am a proud vegan and tree-hugger.

Having been a member of the IAB for many years and seen how much it and the industry has changed when the Ambassador Groups were set up I applied and was lucky enough to be allocated to the Bijou Coffee Group run by Elaine Pearce. Within the Group we have been a huge support to each other through AML Inspections and general day to day bookkeeping and accounting queries. It really is like having work colleagues without having the office. I recently took over from Elaine as leader of the Group and we are currently looking forward to a new member joining us and continuing to support each other.

With the family dog Robbie snuggled up beside me, I run my small bookkeeping practice from a log cabin, in the garden of my home in rural Dorset.
At the end of 2020, my husband and I left the construction company that he had started back in 2003 and where, for those 17 years, I had been the ‘One Stop Shop’ for finance, admin, HR and Health and Safety. Prior to this I enjoyed a 14-year career with H.S.B.C, moving around branches in various roles including a 4-year stint in a Business Banking team. I also spent many years volunteering as a school governor and a Trustee for a local Multi Academy Trust, currently I am a volunteer for SHOUT, the UK’s 24/7 text service for anyone in crisis.
Gradually setting up and running the practice, has been challenging but building relationships with my clients, learning about their businesses, and helping to keep them on track with the finance side of things, is extremely rewarding.

KLP Bookkeeping Ltd since 2004. My greatest professional achievement has been navigating the changing landscape of bookkeeping for 21 years, embracing change and maintaining client relationships. I wanted to become an Ambassador after being part of a group for a couple of years and really thriving with the smaller ensemble of like minded people. I enjoy sharing this journey with others, and the mutual benefits it brings. Our group is talented, knowledgeable and kind. We are all on very different stages of our careers, offering various services, however we appear to be the perfect venn diagram of experiences, which means our meetings are always resourceful and inspiring.
