As a professional membership organisation, or whilst fulfilling its role as an awarding organisation (regulated by OFQUAL) as well as its function as a professional body supervisor (regulated by OPBAS) from time-to-time, IAB investigates and adjudicates conduct and the delivery of services in accordance with the professional or regulatory standards that must be applied. For example this may include practice inspections to ensure compliance with AML regulations, quality monitoring in relation to OFQUAL conditions or the investigation of complaints and similar issues.
Following a judgment or decision in these circumstances IAB provides a route for affected members or organisations to lodge an appeal.
