Sarah palmer, chief executive of the iab

There is a real sense of excitement at the IAB this week. Our new website is live, and I am delighted to invite you to explore it.

This launch marks an important step in bringing our identity up to date with the organisation we are today. The IAB has more than 50 years of history behind it, and we wanted our new look to carry that heritage forward while reflecting our ambitions for the future.

What our new website means for you

For me, the most important part is what this means for you. Whether you are building your career, running a practice, studying for a qualification or supporting clients through their next business challenge, we want the IAB to be a place you turn to for guidance, opportunity and professional support.

The website brings our qualifications, membership and wider services together, helping you explore what the IAB can offer at each stage of your professional journey.

Meet Leo, our new chatbot

You will also meet Leo, our new chatbot. His name takes its inspiration from the lion in our new identity, and he is there to help you find your way around. I hope you enjoy getting acquainted with him.

A great deal of thought and work has gone into this launch, and I want to thank everyone who has helped bring it to life. It is also the beginning of a wider programme of improvements to our member experience. We have exciting plans ahead, and I look forward to sharing more with you over the coming months.

Please visit our new website, take a look around and tell us what you think. Your feedback will help shape what comes next.

LCCI SME London Business Awards: the deadline is approaching

As we celebrate this new chapter, there is another opportunity I would love you to consider: recognition for your own achievements.

The IAB is proud to support the LCCI SME London Business Awards. Our connection to these awards runs through the work our members do every day. Accountants, bookkeepers and finance professionals help small businesses understand their finances, make better decisions and build stronger futures. You see the determination behind those businesses, and you contribute directly to their success.

Entries close on 12 October 2026, just one week from today.

If you have been considering entering, now is the time to take that next step. Think about what you and your team have achieved, the challenges you have overcome and the difference you have made to your clients. Those achievements deserve to be seen.

Entering gives you the opportunity to tell that story, raise your profile and recognise the people who have helped build your business. I would also encourage you to share the awards with clients whose progress deserves a wider audience. Sometimes, a nudge from a trusted adviser is what gives someone the confidence to put themselves forward.

Explore the award categories and submit your entry before 12 October.
